Boston’s pissed off Never Give A Goat The High Ground close out tonight’s excellent Treat Yo Self at Radio w/ Sippy Cup pals Bambara and The Big Big Bucks. We’re talking about unchecked aggression here: their first pair of songs T.I.N.A. (who doesn’t love a good Margaret Thatcher reference??) picks up where bands like The Jesus Lizard and Shellac left us in the lurch. The trio keep us in check with biting longwinded cautionary rants about bozos and morons; the street preacher set to its aural equivalent. They’re the ones putting the F in front of art, the B and R on the back of a one dollar bill, and they’re laughing to themselves every time. These kind of songs played in front of the right kind of crowd could be explosive.
I guess find out tonight? You can pick up NGAGTHG’s T.I.N.A. on t-shirt+digital via Fabrik Recordings, a medium I definitely approve of.
